New seven seat 2018, SEAT confirm nine potential names

A longlist of nine names for SEAT’s new seven-seat SUV has been confirmed

SEAT has revealed a list of nine “semi-finalist” contenders which will provide the name for its 2018 seven-seat SUV, following a competition which generated 10,130 different proposals.

Development of SEAT’s third SUV - which will follow the Ateca and upcoming Arona - has been ongoing for some time, and it will be badged with one of the following suggestions: Abrera, Alboran, Aran, Aranda, Avila, Donosti, Tarifa, Tarraco or Teide.

The plug-in replacement for the TX4 is available to buy outright for £55,599, while a business lease can be had from £177 a week. The five-year lease deal - expected to be the way the vast majority of customers will pay for theirs - also includes the cost of the battery for that period. The outgoing TX4 was £167 a week over a four-year deal, although LEVC claims cabbies in regular use will save up to £100 a week on fuel thanks to the TX's 70 mile electric range.
